Parco Minerario dei Piani Resinelli
A journey between history and nature
Parco Minerario dei Piani Resinelli is located within the Grigne and the Piani Resinelli Mineral Museum Park is placed in a fascinating landscape.
They are ancient mines, used from the 16° century up to now, and currently the excursionists can visit them in total safety.
The guided visits make it possible to discover the hard work that created them and the secrets hidden in the mountain. There are two mines able to visitors: “Anna” and “Sottocavallo”.
The mines called “Anna” is the most accessible one, ideal for kids and adults. Its route is completely horizontal, so it is not so strong to cover by foot. A little curiosity: at the entrance, there is the little statue of Saint Barbara, the protector of miners.
The second one is called “Sottocavallo”, divided by seven different levels with a central shaft to enter the underlevels. This characteristic is suggestive, but adapt only for adults. Finally, the third cave is “Miniera Silvia”, with a large room for music concerts.
