The free access beaches on the Eastern Branches on Lake Como
There are several localities on Lake Como where spend a nice day on the shores of the lake, with a jump in the clear water to enjoy a day of relaxing and fun. There are a lot of free beaches: tanning, relaxing and fun on Lake Como are guaranteed! Here some suggestions if you are on the eastern branch of Lake Como.
Lecco – Orsa Maggiore: free and sandy beach equipped with deckchairs, sun beds and beach umbrellas. Paddleboats and canoes are available for rent. Wakeboard and water-skiing school; dock for boats.
Abbadia Lariana – Pradello: few kilometres far from Lecco, with a comfortable beach, green shore, large parking and from 5 minutes from the railway station.
Abbadia Lariana – Parco Chiesa Rotta: few kilometres far from Lecco, green shore with free access. Facilities include cafe, beach huts and deckchairs. Public toilets and rubbish bins are available. Easily accessible to disabled people.
Abbadia Lariana – Poncia: few kilometres far from Lecco small free green beach, equipped with huts and showers.
Bellano – Oro: Not far from Bellano, connected to Lecco and Milano with railway station, it is present a natural free beach, accessible to disabled people.
Colico: public green beach with free access; bar facilities, large parking, kitesurf and windsurf rent service.
Dervio: public beach without facilities, green shore. Accessible for disabled people, it is close to a campsite with bar service.
Oliveto Lario – Onno: located at the opposite shore of Mandello del Lario, shingle beach, large and quiet. It is the most famous beach of the area, thanks to the clear water. A part of the beach is managed by a lido service, with bar service, toilette, rental service, deckchairs and beach umbrellas. The beach is accessible to dogs. There is a dock for boats.
Varenna – Olivedo – Malpensata: Bau Bau Beach, beach for dogs on Lake Como. Access for dogs without leash and muzzle.
