Il monte Resegone
The mountain Resegone with its unforgettable profile as a saw is silhouetted against Lecco and all Brianza.
The group of Resegone takes the name from its dominant mountain with an unforgettable shape, thanks to its profile as a saw (in local language saw is called “resega”), ranging from Pass del Giuff to Ridge Cermenati. Its rocks are generally constituted by dolomite, and due to this Resegone gifts extraordinary sunset colored of pink.
This mountain group ranges from the Culmine of San Pietro, detaching from the group Campelli, to the Sad of Balisio, which detaches it from the Grigne and runs to the Pass of Palio where the group joins with the Zucco of Valbona and the hills of Bergamo.
The famous literate Alessandro Manzoni mentions the mountain Resegone in its masterpiece The Betrothed “Resegone, from its long line of summits, which in truth give it the appearance of a saw”.
