The stars of the evening will be telescopes and in particular those that have made astronomical history. Some are as legendary as the astronomers who used them, two examples out of all: the Hooker at Mt. Wilson, with which Hubble discovered the nature of galaxies and the expansion of the Universe, or the Hale at Mt. Palomar, which remained the largest in the world for decades.
