Capolavoro per Lecco. La speranza che genera il Natale - 6^ edizione
The "Sacred Conversation" by Pietro di Cristoforo Vannucci known as Perugino, known as the "Pala Tezi," after the name of the patron, made in 1500, is currently preserved in the National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia. The work-a large oil on panel (134x178)-is symbolic of the artist's maturity and representative of his creative phase. Also on display from Dec. 20 will be Giovanni Antonio di Giordano's wooden sculpture "Adoring Madonna," dated 1499, preserved in the church of Castelluccio di Norcia, which survived the 2016 earthquake.
Opening 5/12 at 6 p.m. with lecture "The Quest for Perfection in Perugino's Painting" and musical interlude for flute and harp.
