Saint Rocco Church
In Castelleone, the worship of Saint Rocco was very important, there was even a Saint Rocco statue next to the first parish church. Moreover, it still exists a church dedicated to Saint Rocco in Corte Madama. The building of the current Saint Rocco Church started in 1603. The tower was built in 1631 like the choir, but the church was then down-sized to the current dimensions after the earthquake in 1802 which damaged also S. Giuseppe and SS. Trinity Churches.
Mons. A. Pagani had to decide how to restore and repair the damages, also because the Ministry of Religion was not available to give money. Pagani studied what it should be eliminated and then he decided to maintain the presbytery of St. Rocco. Saint Rocco wooden statue dates back to the 17th Century. In august 2013 it was completed the restoration of the façade and of the bell-tower's roof.
