The Crib Church
The church Beata Vergine al Presepio started to be built in 1710, but it was concluded only in 1742, when the façade was completed. The church was made to host the picture of a Nativity, a fresco made on the wall of a house located in that position. The house was bought and then destroyed to build the church. The Church dates back to the 18th century and it presents some peculiar aspects that remind about the Renaissance and the Baroque. Inside of it, the altarpiece represents a Nativity, a miraculous picture which existed before the Church and that, at the moment, is covered by a painting of the same subject dating back to 1935. The Church was restored in 2005 and 2006, with a new lay-out of the external part and of the roofing. The restoration of the wall decorations was made in 2008.
