Terme – Bagni Vecchi Bormio
After all this activity, it is time to enjoy some well-earned relax. Let's head for the hot springs QC Terme Bormio Bagni Vecchi to make a journey through history, nature and wellness.
First mentioned by Pliny the Elder and admired by Leonardo Da Vinci, these thermal baths are a sensory experience dating back 2,000 years. Here, the oldest part of the hot springs, the Bagni Romani consist of two pools dug into the rock, while the Bagni dell'Arciduchessa will marvel you with a rustic wooden pool dating back to 1800 and was originally reserved for the Archduchess of Austria, who loved to relax during her stays here. Another attraction worth noting is the cave Grotta Sudatoria di San Martino, a natural Turkish bath covering two tunnels excavated in stone of 50 metres each. Make sure not to leave Bagni Vecchi without immersing yourself in the big panoramic pool Vasca Panoramica, which overlooks the valley of Bormio. Immersed in its warm thermal waters and surrounded by the magnificent scenery of Parco dello Stelvio, you will enjoy a spectacular view, perhaps even catching a view of the mountain goats.
