San Nicolò Church
This Church is located just outside of the village’s centre. The external part of the building is the result (like the inner part) of a long-lasting transformation which was necessary to satisfy the demographic increase of the population. The building had to adapt to this urban structure and, for this reason, the San Nicolò Church presents a peculiarity: the main entrance is directly on the main on the main street. However, from the beginning of the 19th Century the most used entrance has been the provisional one on the staircase which leans on the "contrada", the main street of the village. This is the reason why after the destruction of the San Bernardino nunnery, the building was enlarged, reducing in this way the space of the square in front of the facade.
