The S. Aloisio mine was created as an aggregation of neighbouring concessions: Valdardo, S.Marco, Prato and Cavallaro. 

The Altiforni Fonderie ed Acciaierie di Terni company acquired the concession and held it until 1936, when it was sold to the Tassara company, making it possible to experience its heyday.

There are many proposals offered by the Sant'Aloisio Mine:

start with an immersive experience on a 2.5 km route in complete safety, discovering a mine 'in its natural state', which has remained 'intact' since mining activities were stopped.

The experience takes place on foot, equipped with torches on the helmets for illumination.

For the little ones, but also for those who like a bit of adrenaline, there is the Adventure Park where you can adventurously retrace the route taken by the iron ore, via Tibetan bridges, ropes, footbridges and ladders.
Largely covered, suitable for everyone but only if you are at least 140 cm tall! 

These caves have special intrinsic characteristics suitable for treating certain diseases of the respiratory tract, so speleotherapy is possible.
