Infopoint Darfo Boario Terme
Known for the immense heritage of rock engravings, the Valle Camonica is a unique territory where nature, art and spirituality have been intertwined for millennia with human history.
The "Valley of Signs" is the first UNESCO site recognized in Italy and holds the highest concentration of rock art in the world, protected since 1979 as a World Heritage Site. A system of 8 archaeological parks - including Luine Park, located in Darfo Boario Terme - preserves and enhances the signs left over time.
Since 2018, the Valle Camonica is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve (along with the Alto Sebino), with over 55% of the territory recognized as a protected area.
The cultural offer is very rich: archaeological sites of Roman times, museums, castles, historic houses, frescoed churches, shrines and testimonies of the Great War tell the complex identity of the territory.
Darfo Boario Terme is also renowned for its healing thermal waters, which flow in an extraordinary natural context: the centuries-old Parco delle Terme, green lung and beating heart of well-being throughout the valley, which is also accompanied by the SPA of the Terme di Boario.
Among the unmissable destinations are the Lake Moro, a small jewel nestled in the mountains, and the picturesque Romanesque bridge of the village of Montecchio.
Lovers of slow tourism can take exceptional routes such as the Antica Strada Valeriana and the Cammino di Carlo Magno, which connect the Valle Camonica to Lake Iseo through landscapes and villages steeped in history. The Oglio River cycle path, awarded at a European level, completes an offer for outdoor lovers with great charm.
Authentic villages, living traditions and unspoilt nature make the Valle Camonica a territory to explore with all your senses.
The Infopoint of Darfo Boario Terme is available to provide information, tips and useful material to discover every corner of the "Valley of Signs".
