Palazzo della Ragione e Torre dell'Orologio
Palazzo della Ragione was built in the mid-13C to provide a fitting seat for the administration of justice and conserves its original characteristics (56.90m x 17.40m plan).
The changes made in the 15C were but yet another episode in the functional renewal of the entire municipal system.
Today, Palazzo della Ragione is exemplary of the values that emerged between the start of its reconstruction and the Renaissance renovations.
Today as in the past, the large portico is occupied by shops, while the upper floor has a succession of large three-light windows. The typical and imposing structure of the 13C public building is still crowned by large merlons and 13C frescoes can still be admired in its single vast salon.
