Museum of Arms and Arms-Making Tradition
We are at our final stop on our historical and cultural itinerary of the Trompia Valley.
The remarkable testimony of Gardone's famous arms-making tradition is a visit not to be missed. Housed in Villa Mutti Bernardelli, one of the most important private residences in the area, the museum's exhibition is spread across two floors.
The first section is dedicated to the historical evolution of weapons, and features a collection of significant artifacts: although focused mainly on firearms, it also includes bladed weapons and armour. With the aid of video recordings and models, the educational section on the second floor is devoted to the history of the technological processes for weapons manufacturing. Visitors can discover ancient techniques and learn how antiquated work processes were perfected over time.
