• Triangolo Lariano, the mountain area among the 2 branches, its historic and culinary traditions its century-old trees, its rich Nature testifying the passage of the glacier which modelled the area; here karst phenomena is more evident and has led to the creation of the famous crotto, once used as fridges and now meeting point for tasty people.  
• Lecco and Valsassina, the region where Taleggio cheese was born and where one of the most important 1800 novel was set, helping to forge the modern Italian language.
