Corkscrew Museum
In the Pinot Noir valley of Montecalvo Versiggia, where corkscrews are as valuable as diamonds
Inaugurated in July 2006, the Montecalvo Corkscrew Museum was set up by the Municipality, which specifically renovated part of the old rectory of the parish church of Sant'Alessandro. The exhibition features over 200 tools spanning a period of 300 years: single-lever, double-lever, butterfly-handle, bell-shaped, "temple-shaped," "pantograph," and more. It is an important and fascinating collection that captures the interest not only of enthusiasts. Moreover, the destination is well worth the trip for its gentle hilly landscape and the breathtaking view from the museum's terrace.
