New Museum of Computer Science in Pavia, the microcosm of vintage computers and mobile phones (but not only)
The museum is housed in a historic building in the city of Pavia, the former Dionigi Ghisio cotton mill, which operated in Pavia until the 1970s, producing bandages and materials for medical supplies with exclusive sales rights for the military.
A part of this complex, once used for industrial and work purposes characterized by large spaces, 12-meter-high ceilings with long and wide windows, has now been given a new function.
The creation of mezzanines has allowed for the full use of vertical spaces, resulting in a functional environment furnished in an industrial loft style, with a total exhibition area of just over 600 square meters, successfully recreating the urban atmosphere typical of large metropolises.
The location houses a rich collection of hardware and software, promoting the culture and dissemination of technology history.
At Ctrl+Alt Museum, you can travel through time to discover the history of technology.
