Nature & Culture - From 24 August to 15 September - Various venues
The festival dedicated to theatre returns for its fourth edition, unfolding in various venues in the provinces of Bergamo throughout September. Free events featuring poetry, music, and storytelling will be hosted in evocative natural settings, to mirror the beauty of nature and reflect on the importance of taking care of it.

MONZA and BRIANZA

32th Coast to Coast Meet-Up & Valtellina vs Brianza Festival - From 30 August to 1 September - Giussano
A culinary event dedicated to the gastronomic tradition of Northern Italy, an authentic showdown between Valtellina and Brianza where every last bite counts. The town of Giussano in Brianza kicks off September with a celebration of flavour, hosting a festival to rediscover authentic tastes, such as pizzoccheri, risotto, and sciatt, all guaranteed to make your mouth water.

The last summer moon - From 30 August to 8 September - Various venues
Farmhouses, agritourisms, and villas in Brianza provide the backdrop for a unique festival dedicated to popular theatre that has continued to enthral devoted audiences since 1997. Ceresara, Convivio a Palazzo (Banquet at the Palace) - From 30 August to 1 September - San Martino Gusnago, Ceresara
Fancy experiencing an authentic feast in the sumptuous 15th-century halls of Palazzo Secco Pastore? Lariofest - From 6 to 8 September - Erba
For 15 years, the volunteer association Lariosoccorso has been organising Lariofest, a festival where music and good food come together in the city of Erba. The event provides an opportunity for participants to meet and have fun together on three dates with a charitable purpose, supporting the association's rescue activities in the area.

LECCO

International Motorcycle Rally - City of Moto Guzzi - From 12 to 15 September - Mandello del Lario
Moto Guzzi, the renowned motorcycle brand founded in 1921, brings together hordes of enthusiasts from around the world for a three-day rally in Mandello del Lario, where the headquarters of the historic company is located. Featuring exhibitions of historic motorcycles, a lottery, and a musical evening, the focus will be on Guzzi enthusiasts and - of course - their bikes.

The Adda: an element of identity - From 30 August to 18 September - Lecco
The provinces of Lecco, Bergamo, Monza and Brianza, Milan, Lodi, Cremona, and Sondrio are joining forces to present a captivating photographic project dedicated to the Adda River. Its course, from Val Alpisella to Bocca d’Adda, captured in 36 photographs taken by drones, will be showcased in an exhibition at Piazza Cermenati. This aim of this unique event is to raise awareness and a sense of belonging to the territory.

Close UP - From 6 to 9 September - Crema
The streets of Crema are filled with the magic of the circus during the first weekend of September as the sixth edition of CloseUP, the international festival of contemporary circus, dance, and video, comes to life. Don’t miss the spectacular performances by talented European circus artists.

Palio of Isola Dovarese - From 6 to 9 September - Isola Dovarese
An authentic historical re-enactment transports the charming town of Isola Dovarese in the province of Cremona back to the 15th century with the arrival of the marquises Ludovico Gonzaga and Barbara of Brandenburg. Piazza Matteotti thus becomes the heart of a medieval festival featuring taverns, markets, districts, good food, and mulled wine.

PAVIA

Rice Festivals (Festa di Cozzo,Sagra del Riso Novello,Sagra del Riso Vialone) - Various dates - Various locations
September is the month of rice, and the province of Pavia, famous for its Lomellina rice fields, comes alive with delicious festivals celebrating the beloved grain in all its varieties. Autunno Pavese in Tour 2024  - From 14 September to 13 October - Various venues

Over the course of a month, the unique initiatives of the Autunno Pavese tour will take visitors through themed dinners, tasting sessions, and picnics in the fields, inviting them to discover and appreciate the area’s artisanal passion.

SONDRIO

Sagra dei Crotti - From 7 to 15 September – Chiavenna
The crotti, spectacular mountain caves typical of the Valchiavenna region, are the stars of the much-anticipated Sagra dei Crotti, which each year celebrates the gastronomic delights of the valley by opening the private tables of the crotti to the public for delicious dinners and organising tasting itineraries. For more than four centuries, the scenic town of Teglio in Valtellina has boasted a healthy cultivation of buckwheat, the key ingredient of the area's most delicious dish: pizzoccheri. Chiareggio - Festa dell'Alpeggio 2024 - From 13 to 14 September - Chiareggio
In keeping with tradition, the town of Chiareggio, in the picturesque Valmalenco, celebrates the return of its shepherds and their livestock from the high mountains with a two-day festival. The event has been passed down through generations and celebrates alpine flavours, including the famous local cheeses.

Treciano Medieval Festival - 8th edition - From 6 to 8 September - Trezzano sul Naviglio
