Check the following 10 good reasons to visit Monza. Although it is a relatively recent Province, it has lots to offer for visitors. Take note of the 10 suggestions mentioned in our gallery and try not to miss any.

Start by taking a walk in lush greenery near the city center. Its fenced Park is among the largest in Europe, capable of surprising whoever visits it at any given time, just approach one of its water mills and snap a picture of its bridges. 

Once inside, pay a visit to the famous Autodrome. It is one of the oldest permanent circuits in the world, its tracks are furrowed by racing and vintage vehicles all year long. The Italy Gran Prix takes place here since 1922. Not very far from there we find the Royal Villa, a splendid neoclassical style manor with a magnificent view of its gardens. 

The Cathedral has the Zavattari Chapel, narrating the life story of Queen Theodolinde through a series of XVth century frescoes. 

Other good destinations are the cycling itineraries of the Villoresi canal and countryside villas of Cassano d'Adda. 

If those are not enough reasons for staying, the restaurants and products of Brianza will change your mind. 

It is synonymous with high speed
A few steps away from the city center stands perché a pochi passi dal centro cittadino si trova l'Monza's national autodrome, one of the oldest circuits in the world. Race and vintage cars trace its lanes all gear long. It also hosts several motorcycle events. The Italy Gran Prix is without any doubt the most important event that it hosts since 1922.
It has one of the largest parks in Europe
Located at the city north, the Monza Park encompases the municipalities of Lesmo, Villasanta, Vedano al Lambro, Biassono and, including the gardens of the Royal Villa. It is a green area of great historical and environmental interest. The autodrome of Monza, along with ancient watermills and art pieces such as "The Writer", a farmhouse, a barnyard and numerous roads for taking a walk and practice sports can be found inside. Go get some fresh air!
It guards an important relic
A real work of art made out of gold plates and encrusted with precious gems. Yet its real value lies in the metal circle it encompasses and gives if its name: the Iron Crown. Tradition says that this metallic piece comes from one of the nails used during the Crucifixion and that Saint Helen put in this relic as a gift to her son, Emperor Constantine. It is now guarded at the Monza Cathedral.
It boasts a modern Royal Villa
It has been recently restored to its ancient splendor, Monza's Royal Villa is a beautiful neoclassical mansion, commissioned by empress Mary Theresa of Austria and designed by Piermarini. Sumptuous halls, spaces for temporary exhibitions, the Royal Chapel and the Court Theater can be found inside.
It has plenty of museums
The Treasure and Carhedral Museums harbor important relics and artefacts donated by Theodolinda and Agilulf, also ampules forged in Palestine between the VIth and VIIth centuries, the Cross of Adaloaldo, the reliquary of the One True Cross, the Crown of Theodolinda and many others. But also the Civic Museums of Monza, housed in the historic building "House of the Humiliated", with works that represent the history of the city. The Museum of Contemporary Art in Lissone, Vimercate's MUST, which hosts exhibitions and cultural events, the Pietro Rossini Collection and more.
Theodolinda is once again its queen
La Cappella degli Zavattari, all'interno del Duomo di Monza, è recentemente tornata a risplendere. Dopo anni di restauri, le 45 scene raffiguranti la storia della regina Teodolinda sono tornate a incantare i visitatori. Si tratta di un ciclo di affreschi risalenti ai primi del Quattrocento, universalmente riconosciuto come uno dei capolavori del gotico.
It has the right place for the right time
Breakfast among friends? There are several cafés and bakeries in via Carlo Alberto, the Arengario and Piazza Vittorio Veneto waiting for you. A romantic lunch or dinner? Plenty of osterias offering pasta or fish courses behind the Cathedral, ethnic restaurants and street food places will satisfy everybody. What to do after dinner? Visit the clubs of via Bergamo and the Lions' Bridge. The right place for the right time is only a few steps away from Monza's pedestrian streets.

You can find Enrico Bartolini leading the Devero in Cavenago and Giancarlo Morelli's Pomiroeu in Seregno. The heart of the Brianza offers two renowned restaurants acclaimed by the Michelin Guide.
It is a great place to go on a bicycle ride
