Valdidentro, located in the heart of the Lombardy Alps in the province of Sondrio, is a destination that combines nature and history in a uniquely charming setting. Major attractions include the Torri di Fraele, watchtowers built in 1391 and strategically positioned to defend the area of Bormio; the Cancano Lakes, artificial lakes surrounded by panoramic trails; Monte Scale, a popular destination for hikers on account of its breathtaking views; the picturesque Val Viola, famous for its nature trails, and the Valle Alpisella Pass, known for its pure water springs. Torre di Fraele
The Torri di Fraele are located in a mountain pass of the same name, also known as the the Scale Pass. These historic structures, situated at an altitude of 1,930 metres, can be seen from the road between Bormio and Livigno.
