Torre di Fraele — The Torri di Fraele are located in a mountain pass of the same name, also known as the the Scale Pass. These historic structures, situated at an altitude of 1,930 metres, can be seen from the road between Bormio and Livigno.

One popular route starts at the Ristoro Monte Scale restaurant, at about 2000 metres and crosses a variety of landscapes, from conifer woods to alpine plains, and up to the more rocky, harsher area near the peaks.
