Five places to visit in Valdidentro

Esplora Valdidentro, nel cuore delle Alpi lombarde, e scopri paesaggi mozzafiato, sentieri escursionistici e attrazioni storiche.

Valdidentro, located in the heart of the Lombardy Alps in the province of Sondrio, is a destination that combines nature and history in a uniquely charming setting. Over an area of some 240 km², this valley features some spectacular mountain landscapes, hiking trails, and a wealth of historic and natural attractions.

Thanks to its strategic position, close to Bormio and the Stelvio National Park, Valdidentro is easy to reach and offers plenty of opportunities to discover the marvels of the Italian Alps.

Major attractions include the Torri di Fraele, watchtowers built in 1391 and strategically positioned to defend the area of Bormio; the Cancano Lakes, artificial lakes surrounded by panoramic trails; Monte Scale, a popular destination for hikers on account of its breathtaking views; the picturesque Val Viola, famous for its nature trails, and the Valle Alpisella Pass, known for its pure water springs. Let’s take a look at this itinerary!
