Running al Parco di Monza

Running is good for you. And running in the middle of nature? Even better! Come and join us at Monza Park.

Monza Park has four “Royal Tracks” with different levels of difficulty for runners to bound their way through a context of extraordinary environmental, historical and landscape value.

The tracks start from Viale dei Tigli to the left of Porta Monza, the main entrance of Viale Brianza. The shortest, 3 km-long track is yellow. If you’re up for more of a challenge you can take on the 5-km-long blue track or the 10-km-long red track. But the most interesting one for runners is the green track, the Royal Half Marathon, which is exactly 21,097 kilometres long, the only official half marathon track in Italy - all inside the Park.  All four of the “Royal Tracks” were measured and certified by FIDAL, the Italian Athletics Federation. Signs near the six park entrances indicate the tracks, which are marked by arrows on the ground, identification plates and wooden truncated pyramid posts.

If you’re more of a bike rider than a runner, you can hire a bike at Cascina Bastia. Bikes and more - you can also hire scooters, tandems and wheelchairs. They’re for hire from 10 am to 7 pm every Sunday and Public Holiday, from May to October.

The trail of memories and labours

This trail was dedicated to the memory of the inhabitants of Castione who, in the past generations, walked along this path carrying heavy pack baskets. The path linked the highest part of the town to the valley floor and allowed people to carry out farm works.
