Superpanoramica del Baradello
We head to Aprica to discover the Pista Superpanoramica del Baradello, the newest slope in the Aprica Ski Area, as well as one of the longest.
The course, with a length of almost six kilometres which starts at 1950 metres above sea level from where the 4-seat chairlift to the town begins, is a blue piste, easy and accessible for beginners and children but also highly enjoyable for more experienced skiers thanks to its width and its unbeatable view over the whole Bassa Valtellina.
The Baradello di Aprica slope has also recently added an innovative lighting system that gives ski and snowboarding enthusiasts the thrill of a night-time descent. This ambitious project has earned it the title of “Europe’s longest illuminated piste”, which in turn has lead to the inclusion of the area as one of the most important ski stations in the Alps, thereby making Aprica and the surrounding area a highly desirable location.
A ski resort located in the centre of the Bergamo Alps in the Province of Sondrio, between Valtellina and Valle Camonica and only 165km from Milan, Aprice stands out due the variety of slopes in its ski area, with a total length of 50km.
On top of the Superpanoramica, the area is nest know for fast pistes such as Palabione, a large number of medium-difficulty red pistes, black pistes such as Benedetti, Magnolta and the lower Direttissima del Baradello and for a beginner’s ski area that is directly accessible from the town.
