Monte Puscio or Croce di Maiano

We are in the Triangolo Lariano, between Palanzone and Monte Bolettone. This panoramic point is the perfect choice for trekking lovers, even for the less expert among you.   The ascent to the Croce di Maiano is not hard; in fact, it follows a trail that is also suited to novices or those accompanied by young children. To get there, you can leave your vehicle in the Alpe del Vicerè car park in Albavilla, in the province of Como. From here, you follow a trail up to the Capanna Mara Refuge (altitude, 1,150 metres), arriving in just half an hour. After a break and maybe some refreshments, you can continue, following the signs to Monte Puscio or Monte Croce. Another 20 minutes through the woods and you will arrive at your destination, the Croce di Maiano, a cross and altar standing out against one of the most spectacular views of the Upper Brianza. From here you can admire the mountains of Valsassina, the lakes of Alserio, Annone and Pusiano and, on days when the sky is particularly clear, you can also enjoy the stunning views out over the Po Valley.
