Non capita spesso di poter ‘camminare’ dentro un’opera d’arte! La Corna Trentapassi infatti è probabilmente il monte che compone lo sfondo della Gioconda!   La bellezza di questa montagna che si eleva a picco sul Lago d’Iseo ha colpito perfino Leonardo da Vinci. Accanto alla bellezza paesaggistica la montagna offre un eccezionale percorso di risalita, che parte dalle sponde del lago e conduce oltre mille metri più in alto, fin sulla cima. È una salita impegnativa, scelta anche come tracciato per gara di corsa in montagna, nella quale la stupenda vista che si gode sul lago e il divertimento garantito da qualche passo da compiere quasi in arrampicata, ripagano abbondantemente dello sforzo! Da Vello la partenza è subito piacevole, in quanto il sentiero attraversa bellissimi terrazzamenti coltivati ad olivi. Il sentiero generalmente rimane su pendenze gradevoli, attraversando boschi e passando in parte ad antiche santelle e cappelle, fin al Dosso di Creole.Qui, seguendo la dorsale in direzione nord, il sentiero si fa man mano sempre più ripido, fino a costringere di percorrere qualche tratto ricorrendo all'aiuto delle mani. Si è però a picco sul lago, un posto decisamente privilegiato per ammirare l'opera galleggiante di Christo! Si giunge così sulla cima della Corna dei Trentapassi, isolata dai rilievi circostanti e quindi caratterizzata da una vista a 360° su lago, montagne vicine e lontane.Per scendere conviene dirigersi inizialmente all'anticima est, poi al forcellino di Zuf, da cui si prende il sentiero 265 che, con pendenze e difficoltà assai minori rispetto alla salita, conduce nuovamente a Vello.
