After the surreal carnival of Paul I's despotic reign that opened the season, here now is a new form of satire in music, the largest gathering and most spectacular carousel of animal species.
The humanization of each animal summoned for the carnival, the identification of many characters with particular musical instruments, the meeting of music and word, gesture and imagination, bring to life a kind of great Olympiad of the animal world.
