Borgo Priolo
Borgo Priolo town was created in 1928 from two ancient villages - Staghiglione and Torre del Monte. And it is in Staghiglione that the Sagra del Brasadè is held every Easter Monday in honour of those little nineteenth century origin ring cakes made with flour, sugar, butter and lard first plunged into boiling water and then baked until golden in a wood oven. These cakes are then joined together with a cord into necklaces made traditionally with eleven brasadé each.
