Levadina

Walking in the Levadina Oasis of San Donato Milanese, an opportunity to spend an afternoon immersed in nature.

The Levadina Oasis is located in the Municipality of San Donato Milanese (Mi) in the South Milan Agricultural Park, on the banks of the river Lambro.

The oasis is managed by the WWF, with security services entrusted to the local GEV "Tiglio" Voluntary Ecological Guards Service of the Province of Milan in the wake of the vandalism, theft and abandonment of waste that have afflicted the area in recent years. Upon request, the service provides assistance during visits from school groups and residents.

Inside the area native plants have been planted and information boards were set up with illustrative panels of wetlands and other useful aids for learning about the Oasis.

In the past, Levadina was the subject of another renaturalization project spearheaded by the Province of Milan, Parco Agricolo Sud and Ricoh, resulting in the purchase and installation of eight thousand new trees.
