A path that will teach about archaeology and history, from the ancient Golasecca culture to the industrial archaeology of the Officine Aereonautiche Caproni, discovering the remains of a strange nineteenth-century railway, used by animals ("ippos" horses and "hydro" water) and designed to tow boats on the river Ticino.

The circular path begins and ends at the Town Hall of Vizzola Ticino. From the car park follow the road to the left, downhill until you reach a stop sign. Then take the uphill for about 100 m and then turn into the forest on the "Trail of Ipposidra". You'll reach the outskirts of Somma Lombardo, and always following the signs for the Ti04 itinerary, you'll pass close by the Monsorino of Golasecca archaeological area. From here the path will take you to the embankment of the Ticino, continuing to pass through Sesto and Calende. Continue on the cycling path and return to the starting point.
