The itinerary includes a part of the path in the mountains, where a mountain bike is necessary for the ups and downs, and a part near Lake Lario where you can visit ancient churches and fantastic villas. Do not miss Comacina Island and the Hospitalis of Santa Maria Maddalena.

The circular path starts and finishes at the cableway to Pigra. From here follow the asphalt road leading to the Alpe di Colonno. The itinerary continues toward the Galbiga Crocione mountains. You will go uphill and downhill until you arrive at the Alpe di Lenno and after the Venini shelter (rifugio), from where you can see the lake.

The path continues toward the Monte Tremezzo from where the downhill part of the path begins. You'll pass along the entire coast, and then you will find some hairpin bends that lined by a forest, until you reach the tunnels dug into the rocks. Take the state road (Strada Statale), pay special attention to traffic.
