From the Old Town of Bergamo to the Chitò path in the Imagna valley
The itinerary starts from the heart of the Bergamo Alta and arrives in Valle Imagna, where its homonymous river runs.
Its landscapes contain several testimonies with remarkable historical and cultural heritage, such as the Romanesque churches of Almenno San Salvatore and Almenno San Bartolomeo, up to the breathtaking views that can be observed from the Chitò bridge and the famous "dancing" bridge.
Its a circular path begins and ends in the city of Bergamo. The itinerary takes place in the Parco dei Colli di Bergamo, on secondary roads or cycling/pedestrian paths. So, it passes from the ancient Lemine and Valle Imagna The connecting streets between these two parts are very busy, and you must be careful of lorries and trucks, especially in the vicinity of the two bridges.
