The path begins and ends at Piazza Castello in Solferino, the point where the battle concluded, that would then begin the unification of Italy.

From here, in the direction of the Madonna della Scoperta, follow the road until the end of the descent, where you'll take a left on a dirt road. Continue to the Parco la Quiete, keeping it on your right, where you'll reach a provincial road. Here, take a left and then immediately your first right up to the cemetery of Castel Venzago. Then take the road for Lavagnone, which you'll find on the side of the cemetery. Continue on a dirt road until you reach a parking area of a shopping centre. Pick the road back up and go up-hill to the base of Lonato. From here follow the signs for Castiglione and then, on secondary streets, Barche and then Solferino.
