Lake Como, once known as Larius by ancient Romans, takes center stage in this stage. You will pedal along its eastern shores, with the water always on sight and the view of the opposite side of the basin.

You will encounter from time to time beautiful towns and villages facing the lake, you can find resting spots and places to buy some  refreshments. The old fishing town of Varenna is certainly one of the most spectacular destinations in this itinerary. Stop by and enjoy the unforgettable view of the area in which the lake splits and branches out. Numerous boats and ferries sail from here, perfect for a short trip on the water.

Keep going until you arrive to Lecco. This placid city looms at the shade of the Resegone, once you are there discover its appetizing freshwater fish dishes. Cycling and traveling lovers will certainly be interested in visiting Lecco: it hosts every year a festival dedicated to bicycles and assisted pedaling, plus Immagimondo, a travel culture festival that they should not miss.
