I am a wine specialist, sommelier, Wset L3 certified. I have been working in wine business since 1998 when I started selling wines to foreign visitors  in a retail shop by chance.  Since 2005 I have been working for  big winery to export their wines all over the world and now. After many years my business is taking a new direction and I employ my knowledge to explain to consumers and tourists how to approach Italian wines. I do not focus too much on wine tasting details which are often, not so obvious to beginners, but I use my international approach built at Wset to take people closer to the Italian wines offer, which is charming and challenging at the same time. I believe that a wine experience is something deeper and wider than a wine tasting, even if it includes it of course. I wish people can use some of  their time to learn and to experience on their own how they feel when they spend a longer time together with different people, climate, language, landscape, food and drinks, too. Wine is not a simple beverage, it often reflects the characters of the land and the people living in it and  this is one of the reason why, old world wines and new world wines are so different in style and are consumed in a different way for example. Curiosity is a good starting point to take part to my experiences, not just the simple wish to sit in a winery and drink wines, but the wish to connect what you drink with the place you see around, with the people who grow those vineyards and the generations of people who came before. Think about it: a wine experience is something you never do alone (unless in moments you want to forget!), wine is THE medium people of the all world share when they celebrate life, success, business and even the losses. No water, no soft drinks, no spirits. Wine and humans are strictly tied, wine does not exist without human intelligence and work. Intuition and experience are the tools people still use to fight vine growing problems and we see it now again, when due to climate global warming, researchers and growers work together to find solutions to the higher temperatures of our summers. That is, there is so much to talk about it and about how it makes us feel, let’s discover together a new approach to our glass content!
