San Sigismondo and Maria Assunta Church
At the centre of the village, in the square that connects all the streets of the ancient village, there is the famous San Sigismondo and Maria Assunta Church.
The external part of the church is very interesting, especially for the main apse. The splayed windows, the arcades and the fan-shaped roof create a mix of clear lines and dark/grey holes. In the upper part, the semi-circle shape of the building is completed by the loggia till the final hanging arcades. The apse is extremely beautiful and, together with other elements described here above, it transforms the church in Rivolta d'Adda in one of the most extraordinary example of Roman art in Lombardy.
