You will pedal following the various curves and bends of the right side of the  Po river after traversing the Ostiglia Bridge. Bonizzo, Borgofranco, Carbonara and many other localities can be seen from bankside road above.

Here you will find Mantua's Truffle Trail, which gives you no excuse not to try this scrumptious gift of nature at a local restaurant. The quiet pace of your bicycle allows you to easily spot bee-eaters, colorful birds that nestle in large numbers at the natural oasis of La Digagnola. It is one kilometer long.

Not far from there in the town of Stellata, the imposing Rocca Possente will launch you into a magical atmosphere comprising knights and damsels. Perhaps the presence of autumn fog will make your trip even more evocative. The fortress known as Rocca Possente, alongside the Fortress of Ficarolo on the oposite shore, once served to regulate passage on the river Po. Keep going for a few kilometers and you will arrive to Bondeno, passing near the Panaro affluent of the Po river. Here you can take the train to continue your journey or return home.
